We would like you to be informed!
Here are vital notifications you should know with regard to Oregon health plans 2018. We, at Health Plans In Oregon, would like to keep you posted – so here are they:
Federal Government Will No Longer Support Cost-sharing Reduction (CSR) in 2018.

Due to this, the Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS) will compensate for the $49 million in cost-sharing reduction payments. This is according to DCBS, itself, and was announced last week. This means that CSR plans will still be available in 2018. However, there will be an increase in 2018 silver metal tier premiums by 7.1%. In addition, there will be no changes for 2017 plans or premiums.
CMS on Auto-enrollment Process for 2018
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has provided timeline and process for 2018. Updates are still ongoing and rest assured that we will keep you updated. [Health Plans In Oregon 503-928-6918] All existing consumers will have pre-populated applications. This means that new application should NOT be started – or you will have two active applications and will be double enrolled.
Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Enforces The Individual Mandate Under The Affordable Care Act (ACA)
For the upcoming 2018 filing season, tax returns without reporting of the required health coverage information under the ACA will not be accepted and may be suspended, as announced by IRS.
American Indians & Alaska Natives | News on Health Coverage
If you’re an American Indian or an Alaska Native who has an income between 139% and 300% of Federal Poverty Level (FPL), then you can enroll in a zero-cost-sharing plan which means no copays, deductibles or coinsurance when receiving care from an Indian Health Care Provider or when receiving Essential Health Benefits (EHBs) through a Qualified Health Plan (QHP).
