Adam Reid became involved in Medicare when his mother and father became Medicare eligible and had a nightmare figuring out the best way to navigate the complex Frankenstein system. He witnessed their frustration with all the options, and they learned most “experts” were pushy sales people trying to sign them up for plans and benefits they didn’t need, while failing to present the plans that would ultimately serve them best, especially for the best price.
Knowing the extreme importance of good healthcare for his aging parents and not wanting them to overpay for services because of limited fixed retirement income, Adam used his previous policy expertise from founding nonprofit organizations to tackle the system of Medicare. With his license, he enrolled his parents in plans, learning that what fit his mom was different than his father because of varying lifestyles and preferences. Now they have outstanding coverage and save thousands of dollars each year in healthcare costs.
