If you have MEDICARE and 100% OREGON HEALTH PLAN Coverage, OHP REDETERMINATION BEGINS APR 1!

OHP Redetermination is the process that the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) uses to verify your current financial information to confirm that you are still eligible for the Oregon Health Plan (OHP).

Before the COVID-19 public health emergency was declared in March 2020, OHA conducted eligibility checks every year. During the public health emergency, people were granted “Continuous Medicaid Coverage” and were not asked to verify income each year. Now that the emergency is over, OHA will redetermine all 1.4 million people currently enrolled in the Oregon Health Plan.

OHP Redetermination BEGINS Apr 1!

You will receive a notification by mail from OHA sometime between April 1, 2023, and January 4, 2024. Since the state is contacting members in groups, it may take some time before you are contacted.

To make the OHP redetermination process more efficient, consider taking these three steps:

  • Keep your address current with OHA by logging into your ONE account or calling 800-699-9075.
  • Respond promptly to any mailed requests from OHA, and ensure that you follow all instructions provided within the notice. You will typically have 90 days to respond.
  • Seek assistance from local support personnel if you require help with the paperwork.

If OHA determines that you no longer qualify for OHP benefits, you will have a 60-day period before your coverage expires.
