First and foremost, we all know that the Annual Open Enrollment Period (Nov. 1 to Dec 15) is now over, but you can still sign up for health insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace. People with Qualifying Life Events (QLE) can take advantage of the Special Enrollment Period. You usually have up to 60 days following the event to enroll in a plan.

Qualifying Life Events:

– Got married
– Had a baby, adopted a child or placed a child for foster care
– Got divorced or legally separated
– Someone on your Marketplace plan dies
– Loss of coverage

– Released from incarceration
– No longer eligible for OHP or CHIP
– Gaining membership in a federally recognized tried (ANCSA)
